Christian or Catholic?

In his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column, Bishop Murphy answers the question, “What is the difference between Catholic and Christian?” He asserts that by augmenting our knowledge of Catholicism, we all can more actively engage in meaningful ecumenical dialogue with members of other Christian faiths. From his perspective, “In a time of pluralism which characterizes society today, there is a danger that religious apathy, relativism and indifferentism might become far too common. It is important for young people and adults to have a clear understanding of the specifically Catholic dimensions of their Christian faith.”
