Thanksgiving 1980

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, Bishop Murphy describes what he is thankful for in his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column. He focuses on three realities: the gift of life, people and the church. In his view, “In a world that is still filled with hunger, war, hatred and so many contradictions of the Christian message, it is easy to despair. But our faith calls us to hope and thanksgiving. Though we celebrate Thanksgiving Day this Thursday, as a faith community we give thanks each time we gather around the table of the Lord for the celebration of the Eucharist.”
