Ecumenical Pilgrimage

Bishop Murphy delivered this address at St. Bernard’s Church in Billings, MT as a part of a Montana Association of Churches Pilgrimage. The subject of his remarks was ecumenism. He put forth the following thought, “Ecumenism demands identity, but once we know who we are, then we recognize and appreciate others. Ecumenism is not the compromise of identity on the part of any Christian faith tradition, but rather the openness to appreciate what others have to share with us in the name of Christ.”
