Lay Ministry in the Church Today – I

Bishop Murphy uses his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column to discuss the significant growth and development of lay ministry in the Catholic Church. He shares four key criteria for lay ministry to fulfill its mission of service to the church. In his view, “First, lay ministry calls for a lifestyle of witness to the values of the Gospel and the Christian Catholic tradition we share. It must never be seen in terms of tasks or functions.”
