A Time For Prayer

As the Advent season draws to a close, Bishop Murphy uses his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column to urge all Catholics to set aside meaningful time to pray and attend Mass. He says, “The liturgy offers us the opportunity to re-live the Christian mysteries each year, to celebrate anew what happened centuries ago. At Christmas time, we do not witness the physical birth of Christ again, but we are asked to have the Lord enter our lives again in a more intense way. This deeper entrance of the Lord into our lives should not have to wait until Christmas day. It should be happening now.”
